BETA Fueling Systems Releases World’s Most Advanced Hydrant Dispenser

REIDSVILLE, September 28, 2015 — BETA Fueling Systems recently completed production of the world’s most advanced hydrant dispenser, featuring a fully integrated digital pressure control system developed by EATON Carter. It is capable of delivering high flow rates through the entire fueling cycle.

BETA also worked with Liquid Controls and Integrated Sensing Systems, Inc. to integrate the first densitometer to convert fuel measurement to mass and eliminate pilot to ground fuel reporting errors. The densitometer improves accuracy over a wide range of temperatures to ensure customers can reconcile actual fuel usage at the end of each day.

“This new hydrant dispenser represents significant advancements in aviation refueling,” said Jon DeLine, President and CEO of BETA Fueling Systems. “These new features will provide customers with more accurate fuel reconciliation, the ability to fuel more aircraft daily, and increased safety.”

The new dispenser will be offered on a lightweight, cab-over style gas chassis that is designed to lower the operational cost compared to a diesel chassis. The gas chassis also meet strict emission standards.

The densitometer allows the customer to see a mass reading of the total fuel entering an aircraft, providing the airline an accurate weight of fuel on the aircraft the instant it has completed its fuel cycle. Calculation compensations due to temperature or other factors are no longer needed, saving time and money.

EATON Carter’s digital pressure control system offered through BETA simplifies the pressure control process by removing the venturi and sense lines. It allows for quicker fueling by controlling pressure more effectively during fueling uplifts. Essentially, it maintains higher sustainable pressure for a longer time, thus increasing higher flow rates which allows for more aircraft fuel cycles daily.

BETA’s advanced hydrant dispenser and other new BETA products will be shown to customers around the world at the inter airport Europe 2015 exhibition in Munich, Germany, Oct. 6-9 and at the International Air Transport Association’s Aviation Fuel Forum Nov. 3-5 in Cancun, Mexico.

BETA Delivers Safety & Sustainable Savings to Kahala Surf Corporation

REIDSVILLE, September 28, 2015 — BETA Fueling Systems recently delivered hydrant
refueling trucks to Kahala Surf Corporation in Honolulu, HI. These new and innovative trucks
are able to conduct the entire refueling operation with the chassis turned off. This is the first
hydrant truck in the United States that is able to fully refuel an aircraft without any power
required from the chassis.

“The real challenge for the design was to figure out how to operate a hydraulically driven lift
system up and down more than once with no power from the chassis,” Jon DeLine, President
and CEO of BETA Fueling Systems. “This project demonstrates that BETA can deliver new
technology to the industry with a level of reliability and support our customers have come to
expect from us.”

The hydrant refueling trucks went into service this year and they have performed very well
during peak hours for aviation traffic. They have proven to use less fuel and improve safety
below the airplane wing for operators and passengers since the vehicle is turned off during
fueling. The onboard touch screen allows the operator to record each step of the fueling
operation and the site to receive reports based on their own operational goals and metrics.
The level of diagnostics and training available through the touch screen saves money and
improves safety. The truck design also includes a retractable set of stairs to ensure personnel
can get out of a lift basket in an emergency.

The technology used for the new hydrant refueling trucks is one of the many advances
developed by BETA to bring aviation customers around the world safe, sustainable, and
reliable equipment.

BETA Provides Green Alternative for Fueling Systems

REIDSVILLE, September 28, 2015 — BETA Fueling System’s Narrow Body Cart is able to
create its own power, giving the fueling industry an alternative to solar power charged carts.
Every time an operator fuels an aircraft, the fuel turns a meter that charges the battery,
creating a power system that is able help fuel aircraft day or night, rain or shine.
These carts are also equipped with a PreciCONTROL monitoring system that gives the user
an interactive interface, detailed help texts, and integrated diagnosis and service functions
without external utilities. The monitoring system informs the operator of recovery tank levels
as well as different pressure level.
The Narrow Body Cart is the first green fueling cart to feature an advanced, interactive
monitoring system The new cart and other BETA innovations will be shown to customers
around the world at the inter airport Europe 2015 exhibition in Munich, Germany, Oct. 6-9
and at the International Air Transport Association’s Aviation Fuel Forum Nov. 3-5 in Cancun,
Mexico.
